In Memory of Tom Cullinan & Support for Joanna

My name is Bridie Srsen, and I'm reaching out with a heavy heart alongside other coworkers-turned-family of Joanna Cullinan to start this GoFundMe on behalf of her amazing husband, Tom Cullinan, who passed away unexpectedly on November 30.

Simply put, there was no one like him. Tom had the rare quality of making everyone feel singularly special and important. He loved being a member of the Cleveland theatre community and spent the last decade of his life dedicated to helping individuals coping with addiction and homelessness.

Whether as a friend, teacher, director, or colleague, his infectious joy, humor, and twinkling blue eyes brought warmth to all of our lives. Tom’s ability to overcome whatever challenges life threw his way was awe-inspiring.

The loss feels immense, especially for Joanna, who envisioned a lifetime of love and companionship. The dreams they had for a future and a family, the laughter they shared, and the love that bound them together were tragically interrupted.

We’ve created this GoFundMe to help alleviate the unforeseen financial burden of Tom’s passing. The funds raised will cover memorial and funeral expenses, mitigate the immediate impact of the loss of household income/benefits, and provide Joanna with the space and time she needs to ease back into work in the New Year.
