Our dear friend and business owner Thomas Benedetto of Lakeland, Florida passed away on April, 18th, 2021. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Benedetto of Lake Placid, Florida, brother Ronald and Laura Benedetto of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, sister Lisa and Paul Crandall of
Robbinsdale , Minnesota, son Roman Benedetto of Lakeland, Florida and daughter Alexi Benedetto of Lakeland, Florida. He has one grandson, Liam. He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Benedetto and brother James Benedetto.

Tom started his GEICO career in 1998 in the Lakeland Florida regional office as a sales associate. As a top sales producer, he was promoted to sales coach and sales training and transition supervisor in less than a year. Tom was on the development team of the first A-call criteria for GEICO sales. He later became a GFR zone manager in the Southwest region before being assigned to the Pacific Northwest. After leaving GEICO to pursue his own independent agency for many years, he returned to the GFR program to work in a local office for less than a year before receiving the opportunity and honor to open up his own GEICO local agency in Aurora, Illinois.

During his distinguish insurance career he found the time to become a local “rock star” by forming and becoming the lead singer and lead guitarist of the band Fat Clemenza. He was a great friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him and will will be sorely missed.

Tom never got the chance to grow his new GEICO business into the success that we know he would have achieved. We would like to collect funds together to provide his family with financial support during this difficult time. We are asking for donations to help with funeral cost as well as future funding for his children and grandson thank you advance for donation.
