Tom, Anna and baby TBone need our help

Tom Shively his Wife Anna Lynn and their beautiful new baby boy T Bone desperately need your help.

Tom Suffered what appeared to be a brain hematoma on Friday, July 11, 2021.

He was rushed from his home in Foresthill via ambulance to Auburn Sutter Faith where he was given an MRI and they discovered what a mass on his brain stem. They couldn’t tell at the time exactly what it was and he was taken by ambulance to Sutter Roseville for more thorough testing and Emergency surgery.

His first surgery there was a hole cut in Tom’s skull to release pressure, they removed some necrotic brain tissue and put a drain in so they could release the pressure on his head from the buildup of brain fluid. They told us the pressure in his head was so severe that some of his brain was being pushed down on his brain stem.

The second surgery they removed what appeared to be a mass (they thought it was a blood clot at first) that was resting on his brain stem.

They sent several biopsies to the lab.Tom has brain cancer, He has an advanced fast moving brain cancer, Stage 3 or 4. He is in a coma and if he ever comes out of this, he is never going to be the same. He will most likely have some mental and physical deficits. He has been in the ICU and currently moved to the Neuro Trauma Unit within Sutter Roseville Hospital.

The Doctor said most people really don’t know they have this type of cancer until something like this happens. Anna has been there almost every day, I have been going with her. It’s so hard to see Tom in that bed with all the tubes and drains. Not moving unless it’s a reflex motion.

Yesterday, for the first time, he opened his eyes and I swear he was watching us. We just don’t know if he is still in there.

They are going to need our help financially, they just bought a Home of their own and they have $24,000 left to pay, they were in the middle of packing to move and renovating the new home, Tom just bought new equipment to ramp up business because they were in such a good place, he wanted to do more for his wife and 8 week old son, there is going to be a HUGE hospital bill and Tom has no insurance. There are going to be so many unexpected bills that are going to need to be paid. This is unbelievably, undeniably, tragic.

Anna and I, his family and friends are all hoping and praying for a miracle.
