My dads shop (Tom) burned down last night. This is his livelihood. He has been a wood worker by trade for over 50 years, and has made the most beautiful things this side of heaven. The loss of so much work and a lifetime of machinery and tools is devastating. He is in the process of restoring their old home and now has no way of finishing it. The shop was a custom built two-story building with a complete library upstairs, which had all his life's work, pictures and books.
The immediate need is to get the water pipe that is branched to the shop capped off, so the water can be restored to the main house. This pipe is buried eight feet under frozen ground. Tools are the other immediate need, so clean up and rebuilding can begin. We do not know what or when insurance will cover and they are living on a fixed income.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you and God bless.
The above picture was all custom by Tom, before the fire.
The two below pictures are before and after of one of many projects Tom custom built. This one was a special one he built for his wife Naomi. It is a chapel train car with custom interior called the "Mustard Seed".
