Toledo Thursday Market Fundraiser
Tax deductible
Want to make a big difference in a small town? The Toledo Thursday Market is fund raising to help with our continued growth in 2021.
Since 2017, Toledo Thursday Market has grown from a tiny, informal market to having 20 vendors, a roof over our heads, an online ordering system and a robust customer base.
Our Market is entering its fifth season in southwest Washington. We work to provide high-quality, locally grown and produced goods to our town and surrounding area, while focusing on community and inclusion.
This year we are expanding to join the WIC, SNAP, EBT and Senior Nutrition programs. Our goal is to provide matching funds through the market to augment dollars spent in these assistance programs. Our citizens-in-need deserve access to fresh and nutritional food and we want to help!
We have several providers of organic produce and eggs, a baker, herbs, vegetable plants and flowers, seasonal fresh fruit, a chocolatier, micro-greens, a custom coffee roaster, raw milk, yarns, soaps, beauty products, jewelry, local honey and teas. All of which are grown or made within Lewis and Cowlitz Counties. We all work together to provide a great market experience within the constraints of the current pandemic.
When COVID-19 hit, we joined an on-line ordering system that allowed us to open two months ahead of the other farmers markets in the county. Customers needing to minimize exposure could order all their goods and have them delivered to their home or carried to their cars, without contact.
We are now in a building that keeps us out of the weather and greatly extends the Market's ability to stay open.
There are several folks who volunteer their time to help grow our market. We are in need of funds to hire a site manager for Market days and to continue to expend matching funds programs for those who are on food assistance.
We have grown from a tiny, informal market to one with a lively and permanent year-round presence in Toledo. All this, plus advertising, licensing, and community outreach takes money. We are asking for your kind assistance in helping us sustain and grow this group of dedicated souls providing for our town.
We are a registered non-profit, 501 (C) 26-0811286, operating under guidance of the Toledo Lions Club.
