I began running back in 2008, and quickly developed a deep passion for the challenge of completing marathons. Since then, I’ve participated in 195 marathons, using each race as an opportunity to raise funds for a variety of incredible charities, including Cancer Research UK, Macmillan Cancer Support, Breast Cancer Care, Mummy’s Star, and Milly’s Smiles. These organisations do vital work supporting children with cancer, along with providing essential assistance to their families and caregivers.
As I approach my 200th marathon, and what could be the final chapter of my marathon journey, I wanted to mark the occasion with a special race and to raise additional funds for a children’s cancer charity. On February 28th, 2026, I will line up at the start of the Tokyo Marathon—my 200th marathon, my sixth and final World Major Marathon, and all on my 50th birthday!
I feel incredibly fortunate to have been offered a place in this prestigious race, and I’ll be supporting the Gold Ribbon Network, an organisation dedicated to advancing children’s cancer research. This page has been created to help me raise much-needed funds to support my journey to Tokyo and support me to support Gold Ribbon Network and they important work they do. Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support,
Marc
