Since I began running, this sport has taught me so much and shaped the fabric of who I am. From challenging myself to achieve the 3-hour marathon to supporting other athletes through Achilles guiding, I am fortunate to be surrounded by a strong and resilient community of runners. But as I continue to push myself each and every run, I have always had my eyes set on crossing the finish line of the Tokyo Marathon—a race and city I have dreamed about for as long as I can remember. But this journey is about more than just one runner and one finish line.
I'm running to support the Japan Cancer Society; an organization dedicated to cancer prevention that raises public awareness of cancer and ensures the public undergoes cancer screenings. At the crossroads of my professional career working at theMedNet, where we work to make medical education more accessible to physicians, and my late grandfather passing due to a late diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, this organization will make every step of my race in Tokyo mean so much more.
Every mile I run in Tokyo will carry the spirit of those who believe that we can eradicate cancer. Your support helps get me to that start line and helps create more chances for others to live their fullest lives.
If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you can share this campaign, it would mean the world to me. Thank you for being part of my journey and supporting this dream!
