"To Honor Jeremy" Swim Series
Donation protected
On July 14, 2016, Jeremy Munga was enjoying jumping on and off a pontoon boat in a lake with his friends on a hot summer evening. There was laughter and pure pleasure as he relished being with his friends. Suddenly, Jeremy became separated from the boat, and he panicked. He attempted to swim to safety. Jeremy took a few strokes and went under. He disappeared.
After an exhaustive search by waterfront lifeguards, fire and police rescue personnel, Jeremy Munga’s body was recovered later that evening. Jeremy was a cherished and inspiring son, brother, and friend. His loss is heartbreaking.
Margaret Connor was first on this scene to this unexpected drowning. Deeply affected by this incident, Margaret would like to help honor Jeremy's life and bring awareness to preventable drownings by conducting a series of swims, “To Honor Jeremy", which will help raise desperately needed funds for water safety and drowning prevention awareness.
100% of the money raised for the swims "TO HONOR JEREMY" will be donated to the Michael Phelps Foundation to continue outreach and water safety training.
The next swim will be held July 1, 2018 in Henley, England. We need your support!

Please join Open Water Works and the Michael Phelps Foundation to help to alleviate this preventable global crisis by donating to our cause. Your tax-deductible gift will have a direct and positive impact.
Thank you!
