To Help Mom

After 35 years of Mom caring for me, it's time to help her.  The nursing shortage has left us without enough government-funded staff to watch over me -- a ventilator-dependent quadriplegic -- while she endures total knee replacement surgery and the physical rehab that follows it.  (The more recent crisis which sparked this fundraiser is described in the updates below.)

This fundraiser begins with enough to cover her Home Health Aide salary, so she has one less thing to worry about.

The greater problem is finding enough to cover private nurses.  Mom refuses to put me in a nursing home... after the VA sent my USMC "Gunny" father to one that ended his life prematurely.

Our other family videos can be viewed here.

After earning a degree in architecture, I devoted my diminishing strength and time to help other disabled individuals acquire Medicaid-funded whole-house generators here.  Any future assistance that I would have provided, will definitely be hindered.  However, "With God, all things are possible."

As with everything in our home life, nothing would be possible without Mom.  So, please consider helping me help her.

$15,000 is the maximum gift allowed per person, per year, without the IRS needing it listed on the tax forms of the "gifter" or the "giftee."
