United for Max Grundy-Support after serious motor accident

We’re reaching out to share some difficult news, and to ask for your help during a time of need.

On Sunday evening, while holidaying in Thailand, Maxy was involved in a serious and life-threatening accident — he was struck by two motor scooters and sustained multiple injuries, particularly to his head, face, and arm.

He was rushed to the nearest hospital where he underwent emergency scans to assess potential brain damage and the multitude of other injuries he sustained.

In what we can only describe as a miracle, damage to his brain has been ruled out, however his injuries require urgent and immediate surgery, where he will undergo facial reconstruction as a result of both eye sockets, nose and jaw being shattered, along with a number of additional broken bones in his face, and arm.

The associated medical costs are currently sitting between 45K AUD - 60K AUD, and so we are reaching out to all who know and love Maxy and anyone who has been touched by Maxy’s amazing spirit, to have the opportunity to contribute in any way they can, however big or small, to help ease the financial pressure during this tough time, and long road to recovery.

Maxy is currently surrounded by his sons, Hayden and Clint, and his sisters, Debbie and Jenny, who are coordinating treatment, speaking with surgeons, and doing everything they can to support him through this time.
