To my fellow people,


My name is Alison Morrison and I am based at Big W Browns Plains. I have been with the company for 20yrs this year.
I am reaching out today to ALL our Big W Family to ask for some support regarding another fellow “Big W Family member”.


Natasha Harmsworth ( Tash to her family & friends ) is one of us... a devoted Big W team member, a mum, a wife, a friend, a daughter, and aunt, a colleague.... the list goes on...
And at the moment, She needs our help.


Let’s start from the beginning to give you an idea of Tash’s journey thus far.


Tash has been an employee of Big W for 20+ years.
She has been with her husband Dale for 16 yrs, married for 6. They have 3 AMAZING children, Lachlan 12, Charlie 6 & Isabella 5.


In early April this year Tash was admitted to hospital for what was to be described as a routine day procedure... A colonoscopy. This is the day that forever changed the course of the rest of her life.


After being advised of concerning abnormalities etc, Tash was taken aside and advised that she had in fact stage 4 rectal cancer with multiple tumours that had spread to her liver, lungs and lymph nodes.
Tash sat there as her Dr advised her that she had terminal cancer. She was advised to get her affairs in order and start to make appropriate plans.


Tash is my friend, she is loyal, hard working, but most of all crass as all hell and damn hilarious ! The true blue epitome of the Aussie Bogan. She calls it how it is, takes no prisoners, but would give you the world if you needed it.


In the last few weeks Tash’s life has been nothing but Drs, chemo, surgeries, medications, and tears. But in the midst of all this she still unleashes her humour when least expected. eg: Tash’s new colostomy bag has a name. His name is ‘Stanley’. Stanley is a pest. He is needy, he invades her personal space bubble, and he interrupts her chats with friends with his ‘farts’. If Stanley was on Tinder, she would of swiped left !


What we are hoping to accomplish today is that wonderful Big W team spirit, that we get behind our Tash and set the wheels in motion to offer her some happiness in a time of gloom.


We are asking that anybody that is in the position to do so, could you please contribute, support or assist with our “Supporting Tash” & her family fundraiser.
No donation or offer of support is too small.


Those that know Tash know that she would NEVER ask for any kind of assistance, so I am hoping that we can gift her the benefits of this drive, in a time of need to her and her family.
NO proceeds of this fundraiser will be shared with ‘Stanley’ ...bahahahaa


I couldn’t begin to imagine waking up and knowing that my time with my 3 small children and husband is limited. So what I am aiming to do today is offer her some support , and surround her with love, and attempt to give her a reason to smile during these dark days.


Let’s show her how some love!
