Zach is a hard working 43yr old business owner, husband and father of four amazing children.  He has been hit with devastating news that he has Stage IV Melanoma with metastasis to the lungs and brain. I do not need to tell you that this news has taken us all by surprise and hit us very hard.  The timing of this news, which is never good, comes on the heels of many family health issues. In the past year, Zach’s brother Dan was diagnosed with Stage III testicular cancer, his mother Claudia diagnosed with Stage IIa lung cancer and his mother-in-law Jan with Triple negative breast cancer.  Each of these family members required lengthy treatments and surgeries. This family has been hit hard and all have come together in a show of tremendous support for each other.  It’s time to show even more support for Zach and his family. Currently, Zach’s wife Jennifer is off work after having both hips replaced and unable to work.  Zach is unable to work due to his post surgical pain, all of the new doctor appointments, imaging studies that are needed for his diagnosis and baseline, and immunotherapy treatment. They have bills piling up due to not being able to work.  His treatment will last indefinitely and they are not sure if he will be able to return to work. He has a huge fight ahead of him and taking the stress of wondering where money will come from for household bills, medical bills, groceries, etc… will be a huge help to his family so they can focus 100% on their fight. He has coached his daughters softball teams for St Charles Girls Softball for the last 14 years. This would have been the last year that he could coach because his youngest daughter is in her last year that she could play.  Due to his pain he is unable to coach her and this has brought him so much heartache. Zach is facing the hardest fight in his life.  He has always been the first to donate money to any cause that he can afford.  Zach is such a loving family man and certainly has the support of all of his family.  Zach needs all the support he can get during this very difficult time and we need to show him just how loved he truly is!  Help support Zach and his family in his fight against cancer!
