Help rebuild student hostels in University of Pearadeniya, Sri Lanka.

The most recent devastating floods have left hundreds of students with nowhere to sleep at Pera. University hostels were the places where we built friendships, shared laughter, faced challenges together and discovered the true sense of belonging at Pearadeniya.

Among many infrastructures, the Sarasavi Medura hostel has been severely affected. As a proud Peradeniya alumnus, seeing fellow Pera students struggling with basic needs moved me to act. We are raising funds to replace the mattresses in 36 rooms, which were completely destroyed during the disaster.

All contributions will directly support the purchase and delivery of 144 single mattresses. After actively seeking quotations, we have now secured the best price from the direct supplier, Arpitech (PVT) Ltd. Each Arpico double-layer foam mattress (72 × 36 × 4 inches, 10-year warranty) can be purchased for LKR 6,600 (~AUD 35), a substantial reduction from our earlier estimates.

Your contribution, no matter the size, will help bring comfort, dignity and stability back to their lives. Together we can prove to them that we all continue to stand with them in times of need.
