Together We Stand: Fire Relief Campaign
Donation protected
Hello, I am Susan Wilkinson, a special education teacher at Marindale School. Today, I'm reaching out on behalf of one of my student’s family, who has recently endured a life-altering tragedy.
On Sunday morning, 9/3, a devastating fire engulfed their home, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The flames took away not only their cherished possessions, but also their sense of security and stability.
The family woke to a fire alarm and was able to get everyone out of the house before it was fully engulfed; they lost everything including both of their cars in the fire. This is a family of five - Dad, Mom, Grandma, a four-year-old boy, and a fourteen-month-old baby girl.
The immediate needs are overwhelming including clothes to wear and basic necessities to rebuild their lives. The emotional toll this fire has taken on this family is immeasurable, and as their teacher, I am deeply moved by this family's resilience and commitment to moving forward.
We're turning to the generosity of our community, friends, and kind-hearted strangers to help get back on their feet. Every dollar raised will go directly towards replacing essential belongings and providing emotional support during this challenging time.
Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant impact on this family. Please consider donating and sharing this with your friends and family. Your kindness and compassion will help them rebuild not just their home, but also their hope for a brighter future.
