G’day to all my friends that this reaches. Chezzie’s been bowled by a paralysis tick, and the little weapon is in for a fight to make a full recovery. Jake and I have spent and borrowed every penny we can, and we only have enough to keep his recovery funded until Saturday morning. We are reaching out as a last-ditch effort to give our furry pup best mate the best chance to finish his life with us on his terms, not a toxic little bug’s. Big or small, every contribution will buy Chezzie more hours of the absolute best care and the opportunity to recover and wag his tail, and, all in all, make us and him very happy for a few more years to come. We love and appreciate all of you.
Full Hollywood scripted story below:
On Monday afternoon, disaster struck. Chester, our bright, loving companion, was found with a paralysis tick, a silent killer that began to shut down his body. Time was running out. Our local vet knew how critical it was, and in an extraordinary act of care, personally drove Chester to the Jindalee AES ICU, keeping him alive on a hand ventilator the entire way.
The fight didn’t stop there. Chester’s condition meant he needed even more specialised treatment. An emergency ambulance was called, and still connected to a hand ventilator, he was rushed across to AES Underwood. Every breath he took on that journey was thanks to the hands keeping him alive.
Now, against all odds, Chester is showing signs that he’s ready for the fight. The vets believe he may make a full recovery but only if we can keep his treatment going. We have spent and borrowed everything we possibly can to give Chezzie this chance. Jake and I owe him that much.
Chester has been more than a pet. He’s been our shining light, our constant through every hardship life has thrown at us. He’s lifted us in our darkest times and now, it’s our turn to fight for him.
We’re asking for help to keep this battle going. Every contribution goes toward giving Chester the best possible chance at life. Together, we can see him run, play, and light up the world again.
