At Sudu, which means "home" in the Fulani language, we believe every child deserves a family. Our innovative approach provides homes for children with a trained parent, forming real, loving bonds. Sudu does not run interim care centers or other facilities, Sudu finds families in communities who have gone through rigorous background check and training for orphans and displaced children where children grow and thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

Each child receives personalized attention, living in small, nurturing environments designed to create authentic family life and full family integration. Why We Need You

We are raising $50,000 to expand Sudu's programming. For the past 5 years Sudu has mostly operated in the west end of the capital Freetown and working with small communities. Sudu would like to expand to the east end of Freetown and outside of Freetown. Sudu is also using its proprietary curriculum to train community members on social emotional development, which cover topics from childhood trauma to nutrition.
