“Your options are limited; it could lead to dementia; it’ll affect the nervous system and heart; you could be wheelchair bound; it’ll lead to mental and physical disability and is lifelong.”
What if you heard specialists say this to you? How would you cope?
Meet Steven. One of the first people in my YBL classes. One of my reasons why I pursued my career and one of the nicest people I’ve ever met.
Before lockdown; Steven loved playing football; training with mates; you name it - he’ll do it. Such a lovely, friendly guy, would help any way he can and so supportive of everyone around him.
During lockdown; Steven was initially diagnosed with depression and anxiety but he knew these diagnosis were wrong: he was shaking 18 hours a day; experiencing constant ear ringing; burning sensations; extreme emotional disturbances; crippling anxiety and at his worst; bed bound and unable to function at all.
Post lockdown: It's been a heartbreaking and horrendously rough time for Steven. He will try absolutely anything to get his health back and has tried a lot of treatment to feel even slightly like Steven pre-illness.
Steven had spent £150,000 on medical testing and treatments. Most treatment failed and his chronic illness was just getting worse.
Eventually he was diagnosed with:
Late-Stage Lyme Disease and Biotoxin illness, along with a co-infection of a second strain of bacteria from the lyme called Bartonella.
But it's more complicated than we once thought.
And the worse part, there is no curative treatment in the UK.
Not many people get treated at all and most just take medication to help with pain.
I'm really scared Steven's losing hope; and due to financial strain, we are running out of options.
This next treatment in Germany that has given us a slight hope is unfortunately very expensive, approximately £30,000 pounds.
Here’s what I’m asking.
Please help. Please.
It’s such a huge amount of money for anyone to raise. But together; I really think we can help.
If 30,000 people see this and gave £1 we’ll make it. If you don’t have much to give; just give what you can. If you don’t have anything to give please share this post or the link and someone you know might be in a position to be able to help.
I really want us to help my friend.
And I do think we can help him together.
We can change his life.
Thank you for reading this. ❤️
