On February 2025, our family received the devastating news that Steve was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare and aggressive neurological condition that affects the brain, causing rapid cognitive and physical decline.

CJD is often referred to as a “silent killer,” because it progresses quickly and can cause severe symptoms like memory loss, loss of motor skills, confusion, and more. Right now, Steve is starting to experience these symptoms, and his ability to work or care for himself has been severely impacted. As you can imagine, this diagnosis has left his loved ones heartbroken, as well as facing the financial burdens of mounting medical expenses.

We are reaching out to ask for your help in supporting Steve through this incredibly difficult time. The costs associated with his treatment, medications, medical visits, and the ongoing need for specialized care are overwhelming. We are hoping to raise funds to ease the financial strain and ensure that Steve can receive the best care possible during this challenging journey.
