Many of you know Stephanie as my ex-wife of nearly 20 years — and more importantly, a devoted mom to four amazing kids still at home and in school. What many of you might not know is that Stephanie was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) a couple of years ago — a devastating, progressive lung disease that’s rapidly changing her life.

Recently, Stephanie lost her remote job — a lifeline that allowed her to work from home while managing the effects of this aggressive illness. For those unfamiliar with IPF (and trust me, you may not want to Google it), it means her lungs are failing much faster than the rest of her body. At just 56, she’s facing challenges that usually come much later in life — long after parents have watched their children grow up and start lives of their own.

Despite everything, Stephanie continues to face each day with strength and resilience. But the truth is: she needs our help.
