The story of how Arti turned into King Arthur

In the sunny city of Almaty (Kazakhstan) lives a wonderful little boy. He has a loving and big family. He grows up surrounded by love and care. And he gives the warmest hugs — because Arti loves the world! He has an unbelievably big heart and a smile that could melt the largest block of ice.

There are some children — gentle, warm, yet strong in spirit — who touch your soul forever. Arti is one of them. Just like the entire Piskunov family.

I’ve known Arti’s parents for what feels like a thousand years… Back in 2009, our shared love for salsa dancing brought us together. Since then, we’ve been friends — sometimes with breaks, sometimes across distances.

Dilyara, Arti’s mom, is the kind of woman you can move mountains with: talented, vibrant, real, a true professional.

Tolya, Arti’s dad, is the rock of the family — wise, caring, intelligent, charismatic. A man who does everything for his loved ones.

Dilya and Tolya have been together since middle school — for more than 16 years now. The Piskunovs are a family worthy of their own book. I can’t put into words how much love and respect I have for them. They’re more than friends — they’re family. ❤️

And right now, my dear ones are going through something incredibly difficult… A month ago, something happened that you wouldn’t wish on anyone. A month ago, life split into BEFORE and AFTER.

Their joyful, active boy Arti was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of soft tissue cancer — the kind that most often affects children and teenagers. A diagnosis that’s hard to pronounce… and even harder to treat. Doctors found two tumors in Arti’s abdominal area, already with metastases. It’s a silent disease that shows symptoms only at late stages.

In one moment, Arti became King Arthur — a brave, noble, fair King who now, more than ever, needs his loyal Army.

This type of cancer cannot be treated in Kazakhstan. The family found a doctor in Turkey who agreed to take Arti for treatment. They urgently need $100 000 CAD* — an impossible amount for an average family with three children.
