My name is Josie Weintrob and I am the Founder and Executive Administrator of Loving Hearts Animal Society. Loving Hearts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal welfare organization focused on sheltering and rehoming homeless cats, providing support for the City of Jasper Animal Control Services shelter by fostering dogs at risk to be euthanized due to overcrowding in their facility, and establishing vital services and resources for the underserved communities in and around Jasper County, Texas.

For the past year and a half, Loving Hearts has been repairing and remodeling a building on property that was generously donated to our organization to serve as the site for a low-cost spay and neuter clinic, a vital resource desperately needed to address the root cause of animal homelessness in our area due to unwanted pet pregnancies. The Loving Hearts Humane Services Clinic will be operated by volunteer staff, including at least two local veterinarians who have pledged their time and skills, which will allow our organization to offer spay and neuter services on a sliding income scale basis in order to provide low-income residents a more affordable option to properly care for their pets. The Loving Hearts Humane Services Clinic will also be the foundation upon which our organization can further expand to create trap and release programs in collaboration with local municipalities to further aid in reducing pet overpopulation and animal homelessness in East Texas.

Loving Hearts needs your help to raise the remaining funds needed for the final phase of our clinic project, to furnish and purchase medical equipment, so that we can finally begin providing clinic services. Together, we CAN fix this problem!
