Zoo Renovation Update – We Need Your Help

We wanted to share an important update on the progress of our renovation works here at the zoo.

So far, we have invested £27,000 into improving our facilities and this is what your donations have helped with so far - upgraded Owl enclosure, Upgraded meerkat enclosure, Upgraded Skunk Enclosure and major works started on the central section of the zoo that will provide larger, cleaner and more enriching habitats, with £7,000 of that coming directly from our own personal funds. Every penny has gone into upgrading habitats and enclosures to ensure our animals have better, safer, and more enriching homes. Their welfare has always been, and will always be, our top priority.

Unfortunately, recent weather conditions have delayed some of the final stages of construction, meaning we’re not yet able to fully reopen. This is where we now need the support of our incredible community.

If you’re able to help, any contribution makes a difference. This doesn’t just mean financial donations — if you have carpentry, construction, or general building skills and could donate some of your time, it would be invaluable in helping us complete these upgrades and reopen our doors sooner.

To be completely transparent, running the zoo costs approximately £1,000 per day. While we remain closed, those costs don’t stop — and the funds we have won’t last forever. We are doing everything we can to push forward, but we can’t do this alone.
