Everything for George
Before Christmas, three years ago, George's life was divided into "before" and "after." He was only 20 years old. Plans, dreams, energy, contagious laughter.
That night, his mother couldn't sleep. She felt that something was wrong. A heavy fear gripped her heart, and she set out to look for him. She found him in a place where no mother should ever have to find her child. Following a car accident, George was more dead than alive.
The doctors did everything they could. George survived. And for his family, that was a miracle. But the miracle came at a painful price: George was left paralyzed.
Today he is 23 years old. He smiles. He fights. He hopes. Every day he works hard for things we do without thinking: a step, a movement, a simple gesture. He joined a private rehabilitation program using medical robotics – a real chance for more independence, for more life.
Progress exists. But the treatments are expensive, and the road is long.
His family lives for him. Everything is for George. Every day, every resource, every hope is directed towards the dream of seeing him stand up again.
George is alive. And for that, we are grateful.
But they need help to give him more than survival – they need help to give him back a future.
Any support means a step.
A step for George.
