Together to support Maureen and Corin

Maureen, Dom and Corin had a happy life together. Dom was a semi-professional Dungeon Master for a Dungeons and Dragons online communities and Maureen was often a participant in the adventures. They both enjoyed Amtgard Live Action roll playing and love to build crazy costumes for these events and to go to conventions together. Dom was influential in Corin’s reading education and got him reading at an early age because of his love of books. They also enjoyed playing video games together. Dom was a generous soul and was always running charitable events or participating in something to help support a charity. He was the person that everyone knew they could turn to when they needed support though so many of the tough things that happen in life, the shoulder to cry on or the person to visit in the hospital or lend his support in whatever way was needed.

Dom was very open about previous medical issues including his journey with kidney disease. He felt he should be open so that others would know that they could talk to him if they had similar experiences and needed support. He eventually needed a donor and it turns out Maureen was a match and she gave him that gift.

Dom experienced a very sudden medical event. It struck hard and fast and he was not able to recover. We all lost an amazing friend on the 24th of January but Dom wasn’t done giving just yet. He was a true hero until the end and donated organs to “Gift of Life” so that others could receive his final act of love.

Maureen and her son are heartbroken and have additional expenses right now and could use our support. Please donate if you are able to help. Maureen plans to use these funds for the extra needs of her family such as hospital, funeral and regular life expenses. We’ll also be keeping their family and loved ones in our hearts, thought and prayers.
