It is with great grief that I share the news of my father’s passing. It came with great surprise and my heart aches for him. I am deeply saddened by this moment and want to be with my mother, brother, and grandma during this trying time. It is rare that I visit California, and with that comes deep regrets, but I want to make up for lost time by being with the people I love.

I will be using the money to pay for the flights and flight changes I needed to make in order to stay with my mom. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to not work for a week and a half, so the rest of the money will be for rent, family and travel expenses, and bills. Losing a father is one of the most trying things I’ll ever experience, so having this money will give me and my family space to heal. Any additional money will be used to purchase future flights so I can visit my mom in the next couple months.

This event was so sudden and I’m sad to say that I was ill-prepared for this emergency. I hope you understand my need of support. I call on to my village, please send me your love and support. I thank you with all my heart.
