Together Movie Project 2023

My name is Eric Rice. Please help me bring my next feature film TOGETHER to life. I decided to use crowdfunding for this project because I self-financed my last two feature films entirely. The goal of $40,000 represents a significant portion of the production budget. The funds raised will go directly to paying for cast, crew, locations, and meals. The project is currently in preproduction and is scheduled to shoot in Fall 2023 in Washington, DC. Any amount is appreciated.

It is important for me to make this film because it centers around a strong Black man raising his family with his wife, along with him being a strong leader in his community. Mason, the lead character, is the leader of a tight-knit group that sustains the safety and prosperity of a community that they’ve helped to build for more than ten years. This group is also very focused on the youth and supports their development. I believe there is a large audience for TOGETHER, which promises to be an engaging and compelling film from the start. TOGETHER will show unity and pride. It will also show that no matter how noble the cause or positive the mission, there will always be envy and animosity from those that don’t want you to succeed.

SYNOPSIS

For ten years a neighborhood has enjoyed unprecedented peace and prosperity. This good fortune is due to the efforts of a dedicated neighborhood group led by a strong community leader. Young people thrive in school and develop competencies through internships. Residents feel safe walking the streets. At the helm of this prosperity is Mason, a father, husband, and community leader. Suddenly, a string of armed robberies begins to cause concern. Mason must figure out how to stop these robberies. The community begins to offer information and Mason starts to connect the dots. He discovers he may have an unexpected adversary that wants to destroy what he and his team have accomplished.
