Together let's plant 10,000 trees !

Simply put, trees are among a larger group of environmental blessings which promote life all throughout our planet. Trees not only produce the very oxygen which we breathe; they also reduce stormwater runoff and mitigate the effects of erosion which are drastic during the Indian monsoon season. Trees are vital for the sustenance of life. India, notorious for poor air quality, severe air pollution, and record-setting rises in its energy sector, needs to begin a process to alleviate generations of environmental distress within its land. That’s where we at HSKN come in.
We have started an honorable, nonprofit mission to plant (insert amount of trees) this year within May and early June, prior to the Indian monsoon season. Our renewed efforts will reflect our observations from last year, when we first began the process with phase one of our tree planting mission. The stakes are much larger this year. We are hoping to *double* the amount of trees planted in order to promote the most growth as we can.
Our campaign to plant numerous tree saplings in India all begins with a simple process: buying the plants. With the Indian monsoon season (typically late June to October), and Earth Day 2022 (April 22nd) coming up, we need YOUR help to contribute, aid, and uplift the cause. Our goal is to hit ($10K) by May 31st. We are currently sitting at a cumulative donation sum total of $1K. Contributions to our cause will NOT be donations in blind faith; by tracking our social media campaign effort through the Facebook app, you will be able to see pictures, watch videos, interact with page moderators, and contribute to the honorable cause of ameliorating India’s environment. After observing the highs and lows of our efforts to plant a number of groves last year, we have compiled our observations and findings and have analyzed them to ensure that our efforts will not be in vain this year and that we will achieve our ultimate goal. You can donate through the gofundme link.
Thank you for your time!
Where is the location of the planned project?
The project intends to plant 1000 large trees in the next few months just before the onset of monsoon in the village of T.Kallupatti, Tamilnadu, India

Why was this location chosen?
Over the past 30 years, these areas in Tamilnadu lost the greenery to deforestation and the quality of the land eroded significantly. We believe rebuilding an ecosystem of local trees to this area can dramatically benefit the people and land. It is hard to rebuild years of damage, but we have to start somewhere and not doing anything is not an option.
What type of trees will be planted?
In general, local trees thrive and survive in harsh weather conditions.
How much are you planning to raise?
We are aiming to raise $10K for our current project, which can help fund a plantation of 1000-1200 trees.
How much donation are you looking for?
Any amount will help, but if you can, please consider donating in increments of $100, $200, $300…$1000 etc.
Can I claim tax deductions?
No. This is being driven by a group of volunteer students based in Silicon Valley who are very passionate about the earth and the environment. This may be claimed as cash donations, so please check with your CPA.
How can I track progress?
Follow us for regular updates at https://www.facebook.com/hsknf . You can see all the updates from our previous project where 600+ trees were planted.
