Together, Let’s Bring Classrooms to the Maasai
Donation protected
Hello! I am Sharanya Roy, the founder of PlotLyft, an organization focused on bringing computer science education to underprivileged societies. I am currently teaching the Maasai students in Ngorongoro, Tanzania, who have little to no access to education. Despite the lack of resources, they have a small school where children sit closely together to get a chance to learn.
Right now, this village has no connection to the Internet nor any digital devices. There is minimal cellular access and no Wi-Fi.
With your help, we want to provide:
- Affordable smartphones so more students can access virtual classes individually
- Cellular data packages to ensure a reliable connection for learning
- SIM cards and network boosters where needed to improve coverage
These simple tools can dramatically expand access to education and give students the chance to learn consistently, communicate with teachers, and explore resources beyond the classroom.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps us get closer to a future where CS/STEM education reaches every child, not just those in well-connected cities.
Education should not be determined by zip code or signal strength. The students I work with are eager, motivated, and ready to learn. What they need now is connection.
Please consider donating or sharing this campaign. With just a phone and a cellular plan, we can change a student’s entire path and make their dreams a reality.
Thank you so much for your support, and please donate!
