Help Matthew Doyle Overcome Cancer's Return

Dear friends, family, and community,
I’m reaching out to share some difficult news during this challenging chapter of my life. About two years ago, I was diagnosed with a tumor. It turned out to be seminoma, a slower-growing type of testicular cancer, and I had an orchidectomy. This unexpected diagnosis at that time turned my world upside down, but after the removal, I thought I was in the clear and I continued monitoring through regular scans.
Unfortunately, just before transitioning to annual check-ups, I received the heartbreaking news of a 13mm mass found in my lung, indicating that the cancer had metastasized. Following my doctor’s recommendation, I chose to biopsy the mass, which confirmed that the cancer had returned.
To maximize my chances of recovery, my medical team has recommended chemotherapy. This treatment plan involves one week of etoposide and cisplatin, administered Monday through Friday, followed by a two-week break, repeated a total of four times.
As I navigate this difficult time, I am acutely aware of the financial burdens that accompany cancer treatments. The costs of medical bills and ongoing treatment can be overwhelming, and it’s difficult for me to seek help but even more challenging to face this alone. To help alleviate some of the stress from mounting expenses, I’m setting up a GoFundMe campaign.
Your support will make a big difference in my life and help me cover the costs of treatment, allowing me to concentrate on getting better. I know that times are tough for everyone, so please know that any form of support is valued—whether it's a donation, sharing my story with others, a thoughtful message, or even your prayers. All the support is heard, seen, and felt. Thank you.
Your kindness and compassion mean everything to me. Your support gives me the courage to keep fighting and the comfort of knowing I am not alone in this journey. Together, we can create a network of hope, compassion, and strength. Thank you for considering my request and being part of this journey.
To share a beautiful moment in my life journey, Ana and I got married on October 13, 2024. It was a God-filled and beautiful day, one that shined a bright light amid the daunting news of having to undergo chemotherapy. All of your support has made these moments even more special.
With heartfelt thanks,
Matthew Doyle
