I am starting this campaign to commemorate a great American man, and hopefully ease the burden of his loss for his equally wonderful family.
Thomas C. Barber was lost to us on September 14, 2017, finally succumbing to a year-long battle with stage 4 cancer. He was an honest and hard-working husband, father, and brother, and I would like to help his family raise funds for the memorial he deserves. Within the last year they have persevered through many unfortunate events, from injuries & accidents to a vehicle fire that consumed a business truck, the company trailer, and even a portion of their home; all of this on top of the ever-growing expense of intensive medical treatment.
Tom was a man that would always handle his business, on time, and in a honorable way. He was also very charitable with what he had, whether that meant opening his doors for those that were down on their luck or packing his sons in his truck and replacing a leaking roof down the street- I myself was adopted into his home & family, just weeks after knowing him.
His greatest loves were Family, his Harley Davidson, the company he built to provide for his household (Tom Barber & Associates), and Baseball in all of its forms. He volunteered for many years as a little league umpire and organizer, and was honored to be selected to the 2007 Little League World Series. He always volunteered time and wisdom to fellow business owners, contractors, and realtors and would start every day by 6:00 a.m. .
Tom had a full and successful life- and went to work every day (up to the end, despite the toll of his treatment), but the family business has certainly felt the loss of it's patriarch. I call on his countless friends, family, and all of those who have had their lives touched by this man to assist his loving family as they transition into their new roles and help bid a final farewell worthy of Tom Barber.
Any funds raised will go to memorial expenses and repair of the house fire. Any additional proceeds will be donated to the youth little league program.
We thank you all for your time and support in this hour, and express gratitude in advance for any donations you can spare. Whether you donate or not, please at least share this campaign and help us spread the word in memory of the life of Tom Barber.
