Our community is facing an incredibly painful reality. Scott MacIsaac, a cherished friend, colleague, and devoted family man, is now living with a terminal illness after a courageous battle with cancer. Since his diagnosis in 2025, Scott has met every challenge with remarkable strength and quiet determination, supported by the unwavering love of those closest to him. Scott has approached this chapter with the same steadiness and heart that have defined his life. His wife, Heather, has been his constant source of support and the person with whom he has built a life grounded in love, humor, and deep connection. Their three children, Declan, Shannon, and Brody, remain by their parents’ side, holding on to every moment together.

After graduating from Catholic Memorial High School in 1989, Scott proudly served his country in the U.S. Army before beginning a distinguished career in law enforcement. He joined the Boston Police Department and dedicated more than 30 years to protecting and supporting the people of Boston. Over those decades, he served in several communities across the city, earning the respect of his colleagues and the gratitude of countless residents whose lives he touched through his integrity, compassion, and deep commitment to others. Scott is also a member of his local Elks Lodge, where he has found friendship, community, and another way to give back to those around him.

This page is a space for all of us who care about Scott and his family to come together, lift them up, and surround them with the same love and support they have given so freely to others. Thank you for standing with Scott, Heather, and their children, and for the compassion and strength you continue to offer them.

Donations will be used to cover Medical expenses and help with tuition since one of Scotts last wishes was for Shannon to go back to college and for Brody to go to college as well.

It has been incredible to hear how much he meant to so many people and to hear the beautiful memories and stories you’ve shared. It reminds me how important it is to tell the people in our lives how much they mean to us while we have the chance.
