Together for Sandy and Brad’s Family: Stroke Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Josh and Lauren here. We’re reaching out for help during a very difficult time for Josh’s sister, Sandy, and her family. Sandy’s husband, Brad, suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke at work in February.
Brad is only 37 years old and has an amazing wife, Sandy, and two young boys. He is strong and resilient, but will have a long road to recovery before he is able to return to work and do all the things he loved doing as a husband and father.
Brad was in a rehabilitation hospital for the past 2 months. He was recently released to go home but unfortunately the stroke has affected the right-side of his body so he is unable to walk or do daily functions without help.
Sandy has been doing everything she can to support Brad’s recovery while simultaneously working full-time as a teacher, being an amazing mother to her sons who are only 9 years old and 2 years old, and all the things necessary to keep the house going. It's been a whirlwind, but thanks to family, friends, and co-workers that have become family, they are all taking it one day at a time.
If you’re able, any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. Your support can help fund Brad’s health aide at home while Sandy is at work and also help to purchase assistive devices for Brad that are not covered by insurance. We want to help so Sandy and Brad’s primary focus will be on Brad’s recovery and not the stress of medical expenses. Thank you for your kindness!
