Hi, I’m Rose, and I’m raising funds to support my dear friend Richelle as she navigates her breast cancer journey. Watching her go through this has been heartbreaking, and I want to do whatever I can to help ease the financial burden on her and her family.

In October 2024, Richelle was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, she has faced an incredibly tough road, undergoing six rounds of chemotherapy. As part of her treatment, she opted for an immunotherapy drug that, while not covered by the PBS, gave her a better chance of survival. This alone cost her family $6,000 out of pocket, on top of many other medical and daily expenses.

While chemotherapy has been successful, Richelle’s journey is far from over. She now faces further treatment, bringing additional financial strain. Her partner, Dan, has taken five months off work to care for her, adding to the financial pressure. Richelle has only been able to work a few days each month, making it even harder to manage the costs.

For those who know Richelle, you’ll understand how incredibly challenging this has been—not just for Richelle, but for her family, who have had to adjust to life with their mum unwell. The fun, carefree moments have been few and far between.

Breast cancer is very close to my heart, and I have seen firsthand the strength it takes to fight this disease.
