Since we started teaching tango online on YouTube, over 9 years and 7 million views ago, many people have reached out to us to ask if they could “donate” money to us, as a thank you.

We never accepted.

But today, we are reaching out to you.

Last March, Elvira, Pablo’s mum had a squemic stroke in the right side of her brain in Buenos Aires. Unfortunately, she was taken in by the emergency services too late.

So, even though she survived, she now has only 5% mobility in her body. She’s suffered subsequent strokes, and is now in a very fragile state, needing 24-hours care.

She is now bed-ridden for life, as she can only move one arm and one leg. She can communicate but is in a confused state most of the time.

She is still in the emergency stroke clinic where she was first brought in 3 months ago - with our hopes that the Argentinian pensioners healthcare system can find a spot for her in a rehabilitation center (where she would receive the rehab care she desperately needs) fading every day.

Pablo is now looking into a private rehabilitation clinic, which costs a minimum of 5,000 usd per month (up to 15,000) for an indefinite amount of time.

As you can imagine, all of the resources of Tango Space are now going towards her.

But with the upcoming private clinic costs, we’re now deeply worried…

… and this is why were reaching out to you.
