Hello, I’m Marah from Gaza. I used to live a life full of hope and ambition with my family and my little daughter Mila. I am a passionate architect, and our future once looked bright. But the war destroyed everything. Our home was demolished, our source of income disappeared, and everything we owned turned into memories.

Our story today…

We were forcibly displaced from our home in northern Gaza on October 7, 2023, searching for safety, but danger follows us everywhere. Bombings and raids chase us wherever we go.

Because of the lack of food and the insane rise in prices, I suffer from severe malnutrition, acute anemia, and a major deficiency in vitamin D. This causes me intense pain in my legs and arms, to the point that I have reached a stage where I can no longer walk.

Diseases and epidemics have become a terrifying threat to our lives.

The absence of clean water, overcrowding in shelters, and lack of medical care have led to the rapid spread of illnesses, and we are unable to afford treatment because of the unaffordable prices.

Every moment, I live in fear for my daughter Mila, who has known nothing in her life except the sounds of bombing and destruction. She wakes up terrified at night, living in constant panic and crying because of the sounds of attacks.

We face great difficulty in covering daily expenses and securing our basic needs. Even food is either unavailable or unaffordable, leaving us in constant hunger… especially my little daughter Mila.
