Support the Karnavat family through breast cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends, family & compassionate supporters,
We are raising funds for our amazing friend Marie-Eve, her husband Prashant and their 17-month-old daughter Meera.
On the 23rd of December 2024, while other families were finalising their Christmas plans, Marie-Eve and Prashant's lives were thrown into turmoil by devastating news. Marie-Eve had received a life-altering diagnosis of Stage 3 breast cancer, just 2 years after losing her mum to cancer.
The cancer has spread to Marie-Eve's lymph nodes, so her doctors have prescribed an aggressive treatment plan. This includes 6 months of intensive chemotherapy and immunotherapy, followed by surgery. The first of Marie-Eve's 16 rounds of chemotherapy begins on 13th of January 2025.
Her husband Prashant, the sole breadwinner of the family, has to continue working full time as he has no paid leave entitlements. Their daughter Meera can't attend daycare as the risk of her picking up common illnesses and bringing them into the home while Marie-Eve is immunocompromised is too high.
With very little family in Sydney, Marie-Eve and Prashant are relying on the kindness of the community to navigate this immensely difficult journey. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will provide much-needed relief and support by helping to cover:
- The significant out-of-pocket cost of medical bills and treatment that aren't covered by insurance.
- Care for beautiful little Meera, ensuring her day-to-day needs are met throughout Marie-Eve's cancer therapy.
- Assistance with daily tasks such as cooking, laundry and other household chores.
Every gift will alleviate some of the stress on Marie-Eve and Prashant brought about by this heartbreaking diagnosis and create space for life-saving treatment and healing.
How you can help:
- Donate: every dollar counts and will go directly to supporting Marie-Eve, Prashant and Meera.
- Share: help us amplify this campaign by sharing it with your networks.
- Send positive energy: your prayers, kind words, and well-wishes mean so much.
Thank you in advance for your compassion and generosity.
