Juntos por Maricela

Queridos amigos, familiares y personas solidarias,

Hoy les escribo para pedir su ayuda para Maricela Zúñiga, una mujer valiente que desde hace cinco años está luchando contra el cáncer. Maricela es la hermana de mi mamá y ha demostrado una fortaleza increíble a lo largo de este difícil camino. Muchos la conocen por su calidad humana y cercanía, especialmente los que hemos trabajado con ella, donde ha dejado una huella positiva en quienes la rodean.

Durante estos años, Maricela ha enfrentado tratamientos muy duros, incluyendo quimioterapia, radioterapia e inmunoterapia, además de numerosos exámenes de control como rayos X, resonancias y PET Scan. A pesar de los desafíos, siempre ha mantenido la esperanza y el ánimo, inspirando a todos los que la conocemos.

Recientemente, su oncóloga le ha indicado la administración urgente de un medicamento especializado que podría ayudar a prolongar su expectativa de vida. Sin embargo, este medicamento tiene un costo muy alto y debe ser importado, lo que hace muy difícil poder acceder a él. Por eso, recurrimos a la solidaridad de quienes puedan ayudar para que Maricela pueda recibir este tratamiento tan necesario.

Los fondos recaudados se destinarán a cubrir el costo del medicamento y los gastos relacionados con su tratamiento. Todos los fondos recaudados serán retirados a la cuenta bancaria de su hermana en Estados Unidos y luego enviados directamente a Maricela para cubrir sus gastos de tratamiento. Cualquier aporte, sin importar el monto, suma y puede marcar una gran diferencia para Maricela. Si no te es posible colaborar económicamente, también agradeceríamos muchísimo que puedas compartir esta campaña, ya que eso ayuda a que más personas conozcan su situación.

I’m reaching out to ask for your help for Maricela, my mom’s sister and a truly remarkable woman. For the past five years, Maricela has been courageously fighting cancer. She’s not only a wonderful sister and friend, but also someone who is always there to help anybody in need. Her kindness and loving heart radiate to everyone around her, and her warmth brings comfort to all who know her. Maricela sees the best in everyone and lives each day to the fullest, inspiring us with her joy for life.

Throughout her journey, Maricela has undergone difficult treatments including chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy, as well as countless scans and tests. Despite these challenges, she remains hopeful and positive, lifting the spirits of those around her. Recently, her oncologist recommended an urgent, specialized medication that could help extend her life. Unfortunately, this medication is extremely costly and must be imported, making it difficult for her family to afford.

We are turning to the generosity of our community to help Maricela access this vital treatment. All funds raised will go toward the medication and related medical expenses. Donations will be withdrawn by her sister in the US and sent directly to Maricela for her care. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a real difference.
