On July 16th, my daughter Mandy suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and was rushed to Maine Medical. Thanks to the incredible Neuro ICU team, the surgery was successful and the repair was made in time. We’re deeply grateful that her physical recovery is progressing, though she remains extremely fatigued.
She spent over two weeks in intensive care, and while her job is being held until October, it’s without pay. Her husband Lou took family medical leave, but it didn’t cover his full income, and he’s now back at work. As medical bills and copays begin to arrive, the financial strain is growing.
We’ve all been pitching in, but I’ve made the difficult decision to ask for help. Every little bit—whether financial support or healing prayers—makes a difference. Mandy and Lou have enough to carry right now, and easing even a small part of that burden would mean the world.
If you’re able to give, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If not, your thoughts and prayers are just as powerful. We’re holding onto hope, and we’re so grateful for the love that surrounds us.
Mandy's Mom, Lisa
