Together for Malen: Facing Cancer's Challenge

Hi, my name is Rod Shaffer, and I’m reaching out on behalf of someone very close to my heart—my beloved sister, Malen Levan. Malen is currently facing the biggest battle of her life: a diagnosis of Stage 4B Serous Carcinoma, an aggressive and advanced form of cancer.

Stage 4B serous carcinoma signifies a late-stage cancer where the cancer has spread beyond the primary organ to distant sites, like the liver, spleen, or other organs outside the pelvis and abdomen. In serous carcinoma, Stage 4B specifically means the cancer has spread to the inside of the liver or spleen, lymph nodes, outside the abdomen, or other organs like the lungs.

Malen is not only a fighter, but also a light in the lives of everyone who knows her. She is a daughter, a mother, a friend, and to me, a cherished big sister. Her strength and spirit have been nothing short of inspiring, even in the face of overwhelming challenges.

The road ahead involves extensive medical treatments, care costs, and unforeseen expenses that no one should have to face alone.
