We are creating this fundraiser to support our lovely friend, Lou as well as Simo, Freya and Eve. It’s hard to put into words how much she means to us all and how much she’s been through these past few weeks.

In September this year, Lou received the devastating news that changed her world . She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Bowel Cancer. The cancer has spread to nearby organs including her liver and lungs and unfortunately this type of cancer is aggressive as is her treatment to fight this beast. She is now facing an unimaginable number of doctors appointments and treatments. This is incredibly overwhelming physically, emotionally and of course financially.

After the successful removal of the primary cancer, Lou has started chemotherapy and is also pursuing integrative and alternative treatments to support her healing and help fight the remaining cancer. She’s fighting this from every possible angle, determined to give herself the best chance to overcome this aggressive disease.

Anyone who knows Lou, knows she’s a fighter and she stands out in life with her determination and willpower. She is a force. She is a very dearly loved daughter and sister. She is a dedicated friend with a vibrant personality that we all love.

She is an incredible mother and wife to her beautiful family.

She shows support and passes on her strength and wisdom to those dear to her .

Lou is ready to fight with everything she has got.

While she’s facing this battle with incredible strength, the costs are adding up quickly. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses for treatments, medications, and travel are enormous. Lou’s illness has meant she’s had to step away from her job that she loved, and Simo has been by her side every step of the way — often taking time off work to care for her as her needs change week to week. It’s been an incredibly difficult and uncertain time for their family, both emotionally and financially.

We’re hoping to raise funds to help cover these costly treatments and support the family through their new normal.

Every dollar and positive affirmation will help her. If there is one person who can beat the odds, it’s Lou.
