Together for Liliana: A Heartfelt Call for Support

Hello, my name is Amy Waayers, and I’m reaching out today with a humble and open heart on behalf of a truly special little girl, Liliana Castillo, and her incredibly dedicated family.

At just three years old, Liliana has shown a strength beyond her years. She is full of life, love, and joy. Every room she enters is brighter with her radiant smile. But behind her sweet spirit is a story of unimaginable challenges, a story that continues to unfold every day.

After spending three long years with an ostomy bag, Liliana recently underwent a colostomy reversal surgery on January 31st. The surgery was meant to be a hopeful step forward, a chance for Liliana to live more freely. However, just days ago, after an initial period of recovery, Liliana’s journey took an unexpected turn. She is now in a lot of pain and is being closely monitored at Seattle Children’s Hospital as her condition is assessed.

While what was meant to be an exciting new chapter has come with much uncertainty, one thing remains clear: Liliana is a fighter, and she is surrounded by an incredibly loving and selfless family. Her parents, Mayra and her partner, are devoted beyond words. Mayra, who is not just Liliana’s mom but also the most wonderful nanny to my own children, has been by Liliana’s side every moment, showing the deep love and care that only a mother can provide.

As you can imagine, this time is incredibly stressful, emotionally and financially. Liliana’s parents need to be with her now more than ever, and while their focus is fully on their daughter, the burden of medical costs and daily expenses can feel overwhelming.

This is where we, as a community, can help. I am asking for your support so that Liliana’s parents can continue to be by her side without the worry of financial hardship.
