Together for Lebanon: Matched Donations for Relief Campaign
Donation protected
Lebanon, already home to the highest number of refugees per capita in the world, is facing an unprecedented crisis that has displaced thousands of its civilian citizens. Amid relentless bombardment, hundreds of families were forced to flee their homes and take refuge in school classrooms, sleeping on cold floors with no access to personal belongings, clothes, or food supplies. This comes on top of Lebanon's recent economic and financial collapse, which the World Bank has described as one of the most severe crises globally since the mid-nineteenth century.
To support vulnerable and displaced families, I am launching this fundraising campaign for urgent relief. The funds raised will go directly to trusted organizations on the ground: the Lebanese Red Cross, the Lebanese Food Bank, Beit el Baraka, and Smile and Olive Foundation (also known as Basmeh w Zeitooneh).
Even a $10 donation makes a difference. And to double the impact of your generosity, I will personally match every dollar donated until the initial fundraising goal of $3000 is reached. Your contribution will go twice as far in providing immediate relief to those who need it most.
The cover photo of this campaign is a heartbreaking glimpse into the struggle faced by displaced families. Many had to drive for 20 hours to cover distances that usually take 50 minutes, leaving parents and children hungry and thirsty along the way. Yet people found ways to share whatever they could with each other, a powerful reminder of the importance of sharing resources with those who are struggling.
If we can afford to extend a helping hand too, now is the time to do so.
