Together for Laura Sole and Family

Dear friends, family, and anyone who can lend a helping hand, I am creating this GoFundMe to help my loving friend Laura Sole fight her battle with Breast Cancer. 

To anyone who knows Laura you know that she is one of the kindest, sweetest and most selfless person. Always, putting others above herself, and helping anyone in need. She is the epitome of selflessness and of giving her shirt off her back to help those in need. Now, at this moment she is in need of us as her friends and her community. 

Laura is a loving wife and mother to two amazing teenagers, Adriel, 16 and Nahiara, 15. Laura and her family made the bold moved to move to Canada in April of 2018. They moved to Canada seeking refugee from their country of Uruguay due to persecution and violence.

As Laura and her family were going through their immigration process, they received some devastating news. Laura went for her usual check ups and in one of those check up they found some cancerous tissues. She under went biopsy and more exams and was diagnosed with breast cancer.

She then started her cancer journey and was sent to Sunnybroock hospital to start many different exams that come with her diagnosis. It was here that she was told she needed to undergo a complete mastectomy very soon.

This means that she will be unable to work anywhere from 6 months to a year. This is the main reason I started this GoFundMe. This is a huge financial burden as the family will be under one salary. Laura has to do this surgery but is worried about the time she will be unable to work.

As she is an independent cleaner she does not qualify for EI nor does she have any insurance to help cover her expenses while recuperating from her surgery. Although, it’s been a tough time for her and her family Laura is in good spirits and getting ready for the battle of her lifetime. As she fights I want to help her and her family through this hardship and long journey.
