Hurricane Melissa tore through the northwestern region of Jamaica, devastating the Montego Bay area and nearby communities where the eye of the storm passed directly. Homes have been torn to the ground, lives have been shaken up, and communities are struggling as they face devastation, loss, and outages of power and water.
A real humanitarian crisis!

Jamaica is more than just a place on the map for me. I first visited the island in 2013, and my life has forever changed since.
Jamaica didn’t owe me anything, yet it gave me so much more than your average summer vacation. It shaped who I am, and every visit since has reminded me of how truly special the island is — a place filled with laughter, warmth, and the kind of spirit that makes you feel at home the moment you arrive.

I believe everything in life happens for a reason, and I truly believe Jamaica was meant to be part of my story.
Now, the island that gave me so much is in crisis — and it’s my turn to give back.
⸻
Despite its small size, Jamaica’s heart beats loudly around the world. Its people have influenced generations with their music, talent, sports, and cuisine. And anyone who has spent time there knows that Jamaicans are among the kindest and most generous souls on earth.

In fact, Jamaica was recently ranked the number 1 country in the world for being the most likely to help a stranger, according to the 2025 Happiness Report. That speaks volumes about who they are — compassionate, selfless, and endlessly hopeful. But even the strongest hearts need help when disaster strikes. Right now, many have lost everything — roofs and windows torn away, homes flooded, roads destroyed, and entire communities cut off.

How Your Support Helps:
I’m raising funds to provide direct relief to communities across the Montego Bay region and surrounding areas that were hardest hit by Hurricane Melissa.

Your donations will go toward:
  • Purchasing and distributing essential supplies — nonperishable food items, clean water, hygiene and sanitary products, clothing, baby items, medication, and household necessities
  • Supporting families who have lost their homes and livelihoods
  • Contributing to trusted organizations including Jamaica Red Cross, Food for the Poor Jamaica, Friends of Good Shepherd International Foundation, and The United Church of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands — a local church that welcomed me with open arms during Easter 2025
⸻
The Jamaican people have always opened their homes and hearts to me — and to millions of others who come for a vacation but leave forever changed. Now, in their darkest hour, it’s our turn to show up for them — to help them rebuild their homes, their communities, and their hope.

Every dollar helps. Every share makes a difference.
If Jamaica has ever touched your soul — through its people, its beauty, its music, or its spirit — I ask you to join me in giving back to the island that has given us all so much.

Let’s help Jamaica rise again
