My name is Claude Gray, and I’m from Lethe, Jamaica. I worked as a raft captain on the Lethe Great River and also as a farmer, providing for my family and the community.

Hurricane Melissa completely destroyed my home and farm. The roof went flying off, my living room and two bedrooms are ruined, all my clothes and beds got soaked, and most of my belongings were lost. My farm was also wiped out — there are no crops left to feed myself or the community. Right now, there’s no drinking water, the shops don’t have food, and small communities like Lethe are being forgotten, even though the government received over a billion dollars in relief. The entire community needs urgent help.

I’m raising funds to provide food, clean water, clothing, bedding, essential household items, and farming supplies, as well as to repair and rebuild my home and farm so I can have a safe place to live and start growing food again.
