Together for Iliana: Be Part of Her Strength

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are reaching out to rally behind an incredible woman, Iliana, and her beautiful family: her husband Mike, their lively toddler Ethan, and their loyal dog Billy. Iliana, a vibrant and devoted mother, has faced more challenges in recent years than anyone should endure.

After undergoing IVF to bring her beloved son into the world, Iliana thought the hardest battles were behind her. But earlier this year, a persistent, debilitating cough began to disrupt her life – keeping her awake at night and leading to bouts of intense nausea. After months of seeing doctors without answers, a new doctor finally listened to Iliana and ordered a CT scan. The results revealed devastating news: a tumor in her lung.

As a lifelong non-smoker, Iliana never imagined she would face a diagnosis of Stage 3 adenoid cystic carcinoma, a rare form of lung cancer. On October 21st, she underwent surgery to remove her entire right lung. While the surgery is now behind her, her fight is far from over.

Her treatment plan is intense and consists of daily radiation and weekly chemotherapy, which come with challenging side effects. She’s been advised not to return to work, and despite having health insurance, the mounting medical bills, copays, and out-of-pocket expenses are overwhelming.

We can't take away Iliana’s pain or fight her cancer, but as her community, we can help ease the financial burden. Together, we can allow her and Mike to focus on what truly matters: her healing and spending precious time as a family.
