Thank you for taking a moment to read this. My name is Jessica, and while some of you may not know me and maybe you don’t know Gino either, though by being here, you’re part of something that truly feels like family, and I’m so grateful for that.

We are thrilled to share some amazing news: Gino Satriana has officially completed all of his cancer treatments. What a milestone to achieve. After months of facing cancer with strength, grit, and unwavering determination, Gino has reached a powerful turning point in his journey, and now it is our time to rally around him like he has for so many of us.

Gino has been a cornerstone of the Rio Rancho community for nearly two decades. As a longtime assistant coach for Rio Rancho High School’s baseball and football programs, his leadership and heart have left an incredible impact on generations of student athletes. His dedication was recently recognized with the Ray Chavez Assistant Coach’s Award and his induction into the New Mexico High School Baseball Association Hall of Fame.

But Gino’s service does not stop at the sidelines. He has spent years advocating for educators and school employees as the executive vice president and second in command of the Rio Rancho School Employees Union. This year, Gino begins his 40th year in New Mexico Activities Association high school athletics. A remarkable four-decade commitment to mentoring, leading, and shaping young lives. He is also a devoted husband, proud father, and grandfather of five, who has always been the first to step up when someone else was in need.

Although Gino makes a comfortable living, cancer treatment has left him with thousands of dollars in out of pocket expenses, including co pays and ongoing aftercare not fully covered by insurance. This GoFundMe is a way for all of us friends, family, colleagues, players, and neighbors to help ease that financial stress and show Gino the same love and support he has offered others time and time again.

I have had the blessing of calling Gino a close friend for over twenty years, and I can say with certainty there is no one more deserving of our help. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.
