Felisha’s Fight Against Stage 4 Squamous Cell Cancer

Hello, my name is Celine, and I am raising funds to support my stepmom, Felisha, as she battles oropharyngeal cancer. For several months, Felisha has been struggling with an ear infection that began before Thanksgiving. Despite multiple rounds of antibiotics, her symptoms worsened, leading her doctors to refer her to an ENT specialist. Her throat had swollen to the point where the doctor could barely see, and she was experiencing ear pain, headaches, and a persistent sore throat. During her visit, a hard mass was discovered at the back of her tongue, which was causing these issues.

On February 6th, Felisha underwent surgery to biopsy the mass and insert a tube in her ear due to minor hearing loss and a blocked eustachian tube. Unfortunately, the biopsy confirmed that Felisha has oropharyngeal cancer.

This journey has just begun, and treatment options are still being discussed, as we are waiting on referrals to be responded to. I will provide updates as they come. In the meantime, I am starting this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden that comes with medical treatments and any other expenses that may arise during her journey. Felisha is the strongest woman I know, and I truly consider her my second mom. She has always shown an incredible amount of love and care for her family, friends, children, and grandchildren.

Update 4/30/2025- Felisha has started her treatments and has now completed 3 out of 38 radiation sessions. She is also undergoing chemotherapy every Monday, which lasts about 4 hours. The chemo treatments are being scheduled gradually, and we’re still unsure about the total number of sessions she will need.

Catherine, Felisha’s daughter, has been by her side every step of the way, taking her to treatments and helping at home. Felisha continues to stay positive and strong throughout it all, and we are so grateful for her unwavering strength.
