Together for Elijah

Meet my nephew, Elijah. He’s 12 years old and full of life. He has a passion for baseball and it was just an ordinary day on September 26th, headed to baseball practice as usual. During practice he began to exhibit signs of hydrocephalus and he was rushed to Levines Children’s Hospital where he stayed for 24 days. Upon arrival they did a CT scan and confirmed a brain bleed along with a tumor. Since then, Elijah has had 2 brain surgeries and has been under close medical care. They were able to remove the tumor but biopsy shows cancerous cells. Elijah is now at St. Jude’s Research Hospital in TN and we are grateful to be there but as you can imagine, life has changed pretty quickly for us all. We have faith that Elijah will be healed but we know that it will be a long road for recovery and we are asking for all the help we can get. We are asking for prayers, prayers for healing, strength for our family, my brother, my sister in law, and Elijah’s sisters as we all navigate through these difficult times. We are asking for any contributions to help with medical expenses prior to being accepted at St. Jude’s. Your help will mean the world to us -The Cabrera Family
