In October 2023, our dad was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that had already spread to his lungs. He began chemotherapy immediately and fought with everything he had. Through months of grueling treatment, he remained strong and determined to stay with his family for as long as possible.

By March 2025, the chemotherapy became too much for his body to handle. Following his wishes, we transitioned him to hospice care at home, where he could be surrounded by love, dignity, and familiar faces.

It was our father’s deepest wish to remain at home, and we’ve honored that. My mother, my daughters, and I have been caring for him around the clock, doing everything we can to make sure he is as comfortable and supported as possible. With the help and guidance of hospice, we’ve been trained to provide him with proper care, including medication management, physical assistance, and comfort measures during this final stage.

I feel incredibly grateful to have been able to take a leave from my career so I could be fully present during this time. Being by his side during these final, precious moments—and supporting my mother as we care for him together—has been one of the most meaningful and humbling experiences of my life.

In recent weeks, his health has taken a drastic decline. He has lost mobility and is now in the final stages of life.

Although we weren’t financially prepared for this journey—and our dad was not able to plan for his end-of-life care or final arrangements—we’ve been grateful for every moment we’ve had together. Before his condition worsened, he was able to fulfill a few of his heartfelt wishes:

• A special trip to Fenway Park,

• A peaceful family visit to the White Mountains,

• And most meaningfully, a visit with his beloved son Nathan, whom he had long been separated from due to circumstances beyond our control.

We’re also incredibly thankful that he’s been able to spend this time surrounded by family, especially his beloved granddaughters, and to receive visits from so many friends and loved ones who care deeply for him. Their presence has brought him great comfort and joy.

We are humbly asking for help with:

• Medical supplies and in-home support not fully covered by hospice

• Loss of income while I care for him full-time

• Funeral and final arrangement costs
